Hessian Lichtenau is a city in northern Hesse, about 20 km east of Kassel.

To the former explosives factory in Hirschhagen
One of the largest explosives factories from the Nazi era is located north of Hessisch Lichtenau. The area is now an industrial park. Since the plant was not bombed, parts of the plant are still preserved today as ruins. Some buildings have also been rebuilt and are still in use today. - Rock stones "Hollsteine" at the village of the same name about 4 km east of the city. Approach via the A 44 / B7.
- Reichenbach castle ruins - The ruin is about 4 km southeast of the city center (at 51 ° 10 '8 "N.9 ° 45 ′ 12 ″ E). Some remains of the wall and the keep still exist from the castle.
