Hochheim am Main is a city with many pretty half-timbered houses in the east Rheingau in neighborhood too Wiesbaden in the Main-Taunus-Kreis in the state Hesse. Even if the city lies high above the Main, it belongs to the Rheingau wine-growing region, and of course Rheingau wine is made from the grapes that grow on the Main.

Hochheim belongs to the RMV (Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund) and lies on the border of tariff zones 65 (Mainz and Wiesbaden) and 66 (Main-Taunus-Kreis with Hofheim). So the trip to Mainz, Wiesbaden or Bischofsheim costs € 2.50, with the multi-trip ticket only € 1.97.
The train station is a good bit below the old town. Bus lines 48 (Wiesbaden), 809 (Hofheim) and 826 (industrial area East) go from the train station to Hochheim city center.
The 68 bus runs from downtown Hochheim to Mainz. the 827 bus goes to Bischofsheim.
