- The former Cistercian Eberbach Monastery is very well preserved. It was built in the 12th to 14th centuries. The medieval Romanesque and early Gothic total work of art is impressive. It was founded in 1136. Regional cuisine is served in the monastery restaurant. Concerts take place here and in Schloss Johannisberg during the Rheingau Festival in July and August.
- The Steinberg wine domain in the sole ownership of the Hessian state winery Kloster Eberbach offers wonderful views and an educational wine trail, as well as cellar tours and wine bars on weekends.
- Vollrads Castle above Oestrich-Winkel - In a square pond stands the massive tower of the castle, which can only be reached via a bridge and was built in 1330. The manor house has existed since 1684. In the Kavaliershaus and the adjoining orangery you can now dine and buy the Riesling that has grown. The winery has existed since 1211. - No interior viewing, but access to the courtyard area with a garden restaurant.
- Marienthal pilgrimage monastery - 4 km above Geisenheim in the forest.
- Basilica of St. Aegidius - The Romanesque pillar basilica from the 12th century in Mittelheim between Oestrich and Winkel is the oldest church in the Rheingau. The original monastery church had served the Mittelheim parish as a place of worship since 1263 at the latest.
- Oestrich crane - The historic Rhine crane, built in 1743/44, is a timber-framed timber-framed construction.

- Germania - Niederwald Monument above Rudesheim - The German National Monument symbolizes the re-establishment of the German Empire after the Franco-German War of 1870/71. It can be reached via a cable car from Rüdesheim and a double chairlift from the Assmannshausen district.

- Rheinuferweg, · Between Eltville and Oestrich-Winkel, partly very close to the B 42.
- Rheinsteig The popular hiking trail starts in Wiesbaden at Biebrich Castle, climbs from the Schiersteiner Hafen to the edge of the Taunus and alternates between vineyards and forest with many views of the Rhine. The highlight is the Niederwald monument at Rudesheimwhere the top Middle Rhine Valley begins. However, the Rheinsteig continues through the Rheingau to the state border of Rhineland-Palatinate behind Lorchhausen. Signposted access routes lead from every location onto the premium hiking trail.
- Rheinhöhenweg · From the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden through the Taunus and in between through the Rheingau and the Middle Rhine Valley to Bonn.
- Rheingau Riesling Path · Runs partly together with the Rheinsteig, partly below the Rheinsteig and starts in Wicker east of Hochheim and ends in Chew in the Middle Rhine Valley. There are several variants and branches. The network is 120 km.

Bike tours
Even if the Rheinuferweg is not designated as an official cycle path, cycling is still allowed and easy to use in dry weather, but there are many pedestrians on the weekend. Between Oestrich-Winkel and Rüdesheim the Rhine cycle path be extended.
Boat trip
From the ship you have the best views of the nearby vineyards of the Rheingau and the more distant vineyards of Rheinhessen. Here it goes along the Rhine floodplains that line the banks and the Rhine islands.
