Boppard is a city on the left bank of the Rhine in Middle Rhine Valley and belongs to Rhineland-Palatinate. The popular wine town is located south of Koblenz.

There is evidence that people lived in the area of ​​today's city of Boppard as early as 13,000 years ago. The Romans were particularly present in the 1st century AD up to the 5th century, today many remnants such as the late Roman Bodobrica fort attest from this time.
