Braubach is a lovely town in the valley of the Upper Middle Rhine near Lahnstein In the state Rhineland-Palatinate. The only not destroyed and popular hill castle "Marksburg" towers over the city.

The 1 Braubach train station is on the right bank of the Rhine. The line runs here RB 10 (Neuwied - Koblenz - Braubach - St. Goarshausen - Wiesbaden - Frankfurt-Höchst - Frankfurt Hbf) after the Rhineland-Palatinate clock every hour. Due to the location of Braubach in the Rhein-Lahn district, the tariff of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Mosel (VRM) applies. There is also a bus stop at the Braubach train station.

In the direction Rudesheim there is only one non-continuous cycle path right next to the B42. Recommendation: take the ferry to the Rhine cycle path on the left bank of the Rhine.

- The A3, A61, A48 motorways are several kilometers away. The next exit is: "Koblenz-Nord" on the A48. From there via the B9 and then via the Koblenz south bridge of the B49 to the B42 on the right bank of the Rhine.

Churches
- The St. Barbara Church, dates from 1276. Today the church is a Protestant community center, sometimes services are still celebrated in the building.
- The oldest church in the city is the St. Martin's Church, mentioned in a document around 1000, consecrated to St. Martin in 1242. From the church you have a great view over the Rhine.

The castle complex is 160 m above sea level. NN, originally it served as a protection and administrative authority for the city of Braubach. Fortunately, it is the only so-called hill castle on the Middle Rhine that has never been seriously damaged. The panorama of the landscape is fantastic. The castle museum, the herb garden or the knight's hall are worth a visit.
- The Philippsburg Castle was built in 1571. It has been the seat of the European Castle Institute since 1999.
Buildings
- The historical upper gate, it belonged to the easternmost part of the city wall and served as a control station on the trade route towards Wiesbaden. Today the attic, which has been set up as a boardroom, can be rented from the city.
- The Eck-Fritz was built as a farmer's tavern in 1597, and today locals and tourists are warmly welcomed in the tavern.

- The war memorial in honor of the fallen Braubach soldiers in the Franco-German War from 1870-1871 and the First World War from 1914 to 1918.
