Districts

The following places belong to the city of Eltville:

  • Erbach - west of Eltville, this includes the district of Eichberg on the edge of the forest with the hospital facility
  • Hattenheim - west of Erbach, that is one of them Eberbach Monastery and the Steinberg winery
  • Martinsthal - north of Eltville
  • Rauenthal - north of Martinsthal on a ridge at the upper limit of the vineyards

getting there

By bicycle

  • Rhine cycle route along the banks of the Rhine to Oestrich-Winkel, through the historic town center and then left on the cycle path on the uninviting main road to Eltville. At the entrance to the village, the signs stop and you get lost. We recommend continuing on the charming bank with its magnificent panorama of the Rhine. You can also come from Rüdesheim on the unsigned riverside path.
  • Hess. Long-distance cycle route R3 . In Walluf, the signposted path moves away from the banks of the Rhine. But you can continue on the scenic Rheinweg as long as it is dry. From Eltville, a continuous paved riverside path has now been built. The variant R3a des runs through the municipality. It comes from Walluf turn at the roundabout in Eltville and then go over Kiedrich to the Eberbach Monastery. From there it goes down past the domain Steinberg and below Hallgarten towards Schloss Vollrads.
  • The Rheingau Riesling Route cycle path is largely identical to the R3a. This path does not lead through the center of Eltville.
