Jabłonka is a mountain town in the polish Voivodeship Lesser Poland on the southeastern foothills of the Saybuscher Beskids on the Arwa mountain river, one of the few Polish waters that drains over the Danube into the Black Sea. Its location at the foot of Babia Góra makes it a major center of tourism in the Beskydy Mountains. The community is the starting point for hikes in the eastern parts of the Saybuscher Beskids, especially in the national park and to the 1725 meters above sea level Babia Gora.

In 1368 a customs post was established here on the border with Hungary. In the 16th century the place came to Hungary. Tourism began to develop in the early 19th century. Until the First World War, the municipality belonged to that in the historical region Arwa lies to Hungary and came to Poland in 1920. From 1939 to 1945 Jabłonka belonged to Slovakia.

The closest Airport is in Krakow.
By train
The railway lines run east of the village. The closest major train station is Nowy Targwhere you have to switch to buses.
By bus
Intercity buses run regularly to Krakow and long-distance buses to other cities in the region.
In the street
The ways lead over Zawoja to Maków Podhalański or over Rabka to Krakow. You can also go straight to Nowy Targ ins Podhale or in the adjacent Slovak Part of the Arwa.
