Koszarawa is a mountain town in the polishSilesian Voivodeship in the Saybuscher Beskids on the mountain river of the same name. Its location makes it a major center of tourism in the Beskydy Mountains. The place offers opportunities for winter sports and is the starting point for hikes in the highest parts of the Saybuscher Beskids.

background

The place goes back to a foundation by the Wallachians in the early modern period. The municipality is located in the extreme southeast of the voivodeship on the western slopes of the Babia Gorathat you can climb from the village on quite wild hiking trails. At the same time, it is the smallest, highest and most sparsely populated municipality in the voivodeship in terms of population.

By plane

The closest Krakow Airport is at Krakow and the Katowice Airport is at Katowice.

By train

The railway line from Żywiec to Slovakia leads north of the place. We continue by bus.

By bus

There are regular intercity buses to Żywiec and long-distance buses to other cities in the region.

All roads lead over Żywiec and from there to Bielsko-Biała or Krakow.
