Kamienna Góra(German: State hat) is a mountain town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship between the Giant Mountains, Raven Mountains and Waldenburger Bergland in the Sudeten. The place is the starting point for hikes in the surrounding mountains. It is north Sudeten main hiking trail.

background

The place was founded around 1200 and first mentioned as a city in 1232. In the age of Polish particularism, the monastery and the place belonged to changing duchies until it came to the Duchy of Schweidnitz in the 14th century, which became dependent on the fief of Bohemia in 1368. The city was destroyed and rebuilt in the Hussite Wars and the Thirty Years' War. In 1742/1763 the place came to Prussia, after 1760 the Battle of Landeshut has taken place. In 1869 the place was connected to the rail network. In 1945 he came to Poland.
