The village suffered from plague epidemics in 1312 and 1329, and in 1529 the English sweat numerous deaths. In the 17th century the village suffered from the Thirty Years War and the War of the Spanish Succession. In 1803 Ketsch came to the Grand Duchy of Baden. In 1915, during World War I, Ketsch was connected to the supply of drinking water and to the electricity grid.

Enderle

The Enderle legend is written in a poem by Joseph Victor von Scheffel described, it goes back to the 16th century. At that time lived Count Palatine Ottheinrich, who, together with his comrades, went on wild hunting expeditions across the Rhine plain, ruthlessly destroying the farmers' fields and forests. After complaints to the Elector Friedrich remained unsuccessful, the mayor Enderle and his people moved in front of the Schwetzunger Schloss to bring his complaints forward. Ottheinrich's hunting companions took revenge by kidnapping and killing Enderle's daughter. The latter, in turn, turned out of grief into the horror of the area and cursed the Count Palatine. You can see this legend in detail every 10 years at the Enderle Festival. However, the last ones were canceled in 2020 due to the corona epidemic.
