Schwetzingen is a major county seat in the Electoral Palatinate, which is southeast of Mannheim It belongs to the Rhein-Neckar district in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

getting there

By plane

Schwetzingen can be reached by plane via the Mannheim regional airport can be achieved.

The former court theater in the palace complex (so-called Rococo theater) was built in 1752 by Nicolas de Pigage as the theater of the Palatinate summer residence.
