The Baden Asparagus Route leads from Schwetzingen above Bruchsal and Karlsruhe to Lichtenau.

In 1994 the Badische Spargelstraße was launched; at that time it ran from Schwetzingen to Bruchsal and was expanded the following year. The cultivation of these vegetables has a long tradition in this area. Asparagus was first grown in the Schwetzingen palace garden as early as 1658, the Schwetzingen asparagus market has existed since 1894, and today you can find a wide range of products on all vegetable markets along the route; of course only during the asparagus season, which usually starts in mid-April due to the weather. It lasts until St. John's Day on June 24th. A few suppliers also have asparagus on offer; this is the case when a field for some reason stabbed to death shall be.
