Reilingen is a municipality in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, it has belonged to the Electoral Palatinate since the 15th century, and in 1803 it came to Baden. While tobacco was a very widespread special culture alongside hemp and flax in the 19th century, asparagus has taken on this role today, the headquarters of the in Reilingen Association for asparagus cultivation for the Rhein-Neckar district. That is why the river runs through Reilingen Baden Asparagus Route. The place is also due to the Bertha Benz Memorial Route in memory of the first overland drive of a car.

- The Reilinger See nature trail. It was created around a former quarry pond, where the 300,000-year-old skull bones became one in 1978 Homo erectus found next to that Homo Heidelbergensis from a gravel pit of Wall near Heidelberg probably the oldest from the Electoral Palatinate.
