Wall (bathing) is a municipality in the Rhein-Neckar district, it is located in the north Kraichgau at the transition to Little Odenwald.

Mauer is probably one of the longest-inhabited places in Germany, after all, people of the species lived here around 600,000 years ago Homo Heidelbergensis. When the worker Daniel Hartmann found a lower jaw bone in a sand pit on October 21, 1907, he is said to have said "Haw I have found Adam!"

The place Mauer once belonged to the Staufer Reichsland, it then came to the Electoral Palatinate around 1330, in 1803 it came to the Grand Duchy of Baden.
