Gluing (bathing) is a city in the Electoral Palatinate in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
background
The city of Leimen is located in the Electoral Palatinate just a few kilometers south of Heidelberg. Leimen was first mentioned in a document in 791. The place came to the Palatinate in the 14th century, in 1803 it became Baden. Leimen suffered severe damage in the Dutch War in 1674, and what was preserved fell victim to the Palatinate War of Succession in 1689. In the course of community reform in 1973, the localities of Gauangelloch, St. Ilgen, Ochsenbach and Lingental were incorporated. Leimen received city rights in 1981 and has been a major district town since 1992.
