Krempna is a mountain town in the voivodeship Subcarpathian in the southeast Poland in the Lower Beskids on the upper reaches of the Wisłoka. In the village is the administrative center and the museum of the Magura National Park. You can also enter the national park from here.
background
The place was named by Mikołaj Stadnicki at the beginning of the 15th century Krummbach founded, which suggests that at least some of the first settlers were forest Germans. In 1457 and 1657 the place was sacked by Hungarian troops. Also in the First and Second World War there were battles near the place. The Łokieć military cemetery from the First World War still bears witness to the fighting.

Krempna is by train from Krakow reachable. However, you will be in Krosno have to change to a bus, as the place itself has no rail connection.

The place also invites you to go hiking in the surrounding mountains, especially in the national park. There is also a small reservoir south of the village, where you can practice water sports.
The yellow marked path takes you to the Hałbów Pass in an hour. From there you can hike to Bartne or Kąty.
The green path leads from Kąty via Krempna to Ożenna:
