La Condamine-Châtelard is a commune and a village located in the department of Alpes de Haute Provence, in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, in the South-East of France.

Understand

The village, of about 200 inhabitants in the last census of 2012, is bordering other municipalities of the valley as well as Orres and Crévoux, nearEmbrun. It marks the entry into the upper Ubaye valley.

By car

The town is accessible by the departmental road 900 from Gap Where Digne-les-Bains.

Since Paris Where Lyon, take the A6 and A7 motorways to Valence-Sud, then direction Gap and Barcelonnette.

Another possible solution from Lyon, the A43 and A48 motorways to Grenoble, then the national 85 to Gap (follow Barcelonnette).

Since Marseilles, the valley is accessible by the A51 motorway then after La Saulce, part of the national 85 and the departmental 942, 900B and 900 (follow Barcelonnette).

Since Nice and the French Riviera, it is possible to reach the valley via the passes (Bonette-Restefond or Cayolle), except in winter when these passages are closed.

In these cases, the village is reported from Jausiers.

Circulate

The village is crossed by the Grandes Alpes route.

Access to the ski resort is difficult in snowy weather. By car, provide snow chains or equip yourself with snow tires.
