Makadi Bay, Arabic:خليج مكادي, Chalīǧ Makādī, „Makadi Bay", Or Madinat Makadi, Arabic:مدينة مكادي, Madīnat Makādī, is a for Red Sea Riviera belonging more Egyptian Resort at the bay of the same name on the coast of Red sea, about 30 kilometers south of Hurghada and immediately south of Sahl Shishish located. The settlement consists of about thirty 4 and 5 star hotels, which cover a wide range of vacation needs. Possible activities include: Swimming, snorkeling, diving, windsurfing and golf on an 18-hole course.

Makadi Bay is a newly created holiday resort in 1998. One of the first hotels was the Iberotel Makadi Beach, which opened that year. The meanwhile 30 or so hotels are mainly located in Makadi Bay, which has a sandy beach about 4 kilometers long. Apart from the hotels, there is hardly any other infrastructure. The site extends for about four kilometers immediately south of Sahl Shishish to the south to the bay 1 Sharm el-ʿArab.
There are coral reefs a short distance from the shore.
Many hotels are geared towards families and have suitable pool facilities. There is also the large amusement park Makadi Water World.

(IATA: HRG). There are daily flight connections with Cairo, and Hurghada is served by numerous charter airlines all year round. The bus travel time is around 30 minutes.

From Cairo you drive on the highway to ʿAin es-Sukhna and from here to the south on trunk road 24 along the coast of the Red Sea. There are several road junctions to the Makadi Bay holiday resort.

Diving
Both in Makadi Bay and in the adjacent regions there are house reefs just off the coast with diving depths of 5 to 18 meters, which are also suitable for beginners. These include Abū Makādī Middle / South, Gota Abu Makadi, Ras Raschid, Turfa Ras Discha, Ras Discha, Sharm el-ʿArab and Abu Ramada (Gota, North, South). Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and Wakeboarding
Surf spots are the Madadi Bay and the 2 Abū Hashīsh Island. The bay itself is quite calm. Outside the bay there is constant wind from the north and a swell wave up to 2 to 3 m high. Due to the large number of bathers, kitesurfing is hardly possible in Madadi Bay.
