Messancy is a town Belgian located in Wallonia in the Luxembourg province. It has about 8,000 inhabitants and includes the villages of Bébange, Buvange, Differt, Guelff, Habergy, Hondelange, Longeau, Messancy, Sélange (with the hamlet of Kwintenhof), Turpange and Wolkrange.

Understand

Located in the country ofArlon, the town is located in the extreme south-east of the province and borders the Luxembourg and close to the France.

The first commune of Messancy was created in the years 1276–1280, freed under the law of Beaumont. Messancy then depended on the chatellenie of Longwy.

In 1802, Messancy became the seat of a cantonal justice of the peace.

Road

The village of Messancy extends along the national road 81 (part of theE411) connecting Arlon north and Aubange South. It is therefore accessible via exit 32 (Weyler) of theE25, the national 4 in Arlon and the roads coming from Longwy via Aubange.

Messancy is served by several TEC bus lines, including line 1011 Cork-Bastogne-Arlon-Athus.

The town has a small industrial zone along the western side of the national road 81, as well as a commercial area called "The triangle of 3 borders" along this same road, on which the hypermarket is located in particular. Cora, the destocking store Mac Arthur Glenn as well as many other brands.

If that were not enough, there are also nearby, on the one hand the Hydrion shopping parks (Arlon) and Weyler as well as Ikea Sterpenich located in the town of Arlon, and on the other hand the European Development Pole in Mont-Saint-Martin on the French side.

Communicate
