What see

  • Castle. The Rocca rises astonishingly above the town, on the top of the hill on which the village stands. Of incredible height, she was also nicknamed medieval skyscraper. The imposing and impregnable building represents the castle that most exalts the power of the Malatesta family in the whole Valconca. It became the permanent home of Guastafamiglia Malatesta in 1337; it was always he who commissioned its extension and its adaptation to a princely residence as well as a defensive bulwark. The modifications of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries have nevertheless maintained the guidelines of the original architectural structure. In December 1347 the Castle hosted the King of Hungary with his retinue and the notables of Rimini. When Sigismondo Malatesta antagonized Pope Pius II, who excommunicated him in 1463, Malatesta was the object of attacks by the Duke of Urbino who took the castle.
Restoration and recovery interventions in contemporary times have the aim of making the castle usable in its entirety, in order to be able to preserve and enhance a work that represents an important artistic heritage at national level.

Inside, the church, of fourteenth-century origin, houses a wooden crucifix from the Rimini school; among the pictorial works one Madonna and Child with an Angel by Bernardino Dolci of the fifteenth century and the altarpiece of the Madonna of Mercy by Luzio Dolci of the sixteenth century.
