Middle East - Naher Osten

The Near East (Arabic:الشرق الأوسط‎, ash-sharq al-ausat, Hebrew: המזרח התיכון, haMizrach haTichon) is a region in Asia. The term "Middle East" is a translation from English Middle East and not in use in German. A specialty is Egypt which is also counted as part of the Middle East, but in North africa lies.
