South asia is part Asia. It is separated from the rest of Asia by mountain ranges: in the north and northwest by the Hindu Kush and in the northeast and east by the Karakoram and Himalayas. The largest country in South Asia is India. Island (groups) are Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
