The town Nassau is located on the Lahn between Westerwald and Taunus in the Rhein-Lahn district in Rhineland-Palatinate and is at the same time part of the Nassau community, which is marketed as Nassauer Land for tourism.

The 1 Nassau train station is on the regional train line RB 23 (Lahn-Eifel-Bahn). This runs on the Limburg (Lahn) -Diez-Nassau-Bad Ems-Niederlahnstein-Koblenz Hbf-Koblenz Stadtmitte-Andernach-Mendig-Mayen Ost route. This line is operated every hour according to the Rhineland-Palatinate cycle, and the Lahntal Express runs every 2 hours RE 25 on the route Koblenz Hbf-Bad Ems-Nassau-Diez-Limburg (Lahn) -Weilburg-Wetzlar-Gießen. Due to the location of Nassau in the Rhein-Lahn district, the tariff applies Rhein-Mosel transport association.
