Diez is a lovely small town on the Lahn in Rhineland-Palatinate in the vicinity of Hessian city Limburg on the Lahn and is located at the transition from the Limburg basin to the lower Lahn valley. The silhouette of the city is determined by the Lahn and the Count's Castle, which towers on a rock above the old town.
