Nuraghe Tanca Manna is an archaeological site of the Sardinia.

To know

It is a single tower nuraghe with a thòlos dome, built with the aid of granite rocks emerging from the ground that form the base and part of the walls; the masonry is made with roughly worked granite blocks. In the room there are two opposing niches, one of which obtained in the rock bank but damaged by vandals.

In 2005, during the excavations carried out in the surrounding area, where the nuragic village extended, it was possible to estimate the presence of over 150 huts dating back to the first phase of the nuragic civilization, while some restoration works were necessary to consolidate the base of the structure.

The Tanca Manna nuraghe is just one of the many megalithic monuments present in the territory of Nuoro and in Barbagia, together with numerous tombs of the giants and domus de janas that testify to a strong presence of the nuragic civilization in this area of Sardinia.

In 2015, archaeological finds were found and then exhibited to the public.
