By car
- From Cagliari, Oristano, Sassari is Porto Torres take the Strada Statale 131 Carlo Felice and take one of the exits to get to Macomer.
- From Alghero take the Provincial Road 42 dei Due Mari and the SS 291 della Nurra towards Sassari, then take the SS 131 Carlo Felice towards Cagliari and then take the "Macomer-Bosa" exit to reach Macomer.
- From Golfo Aranci is Olbia take the State Road 729 Sassari-Olbia towards Sassari, then take the State Road 131 Carlo Felice towards Cagliari and then take the "Macomer-Bosa" exit to then arrive in Macomer. An alternative route to this is to take the State Road 131 d.c.n. up to the "Macomer-Sassari" crossroads, take this exit and take the SS 129 Nuoro-Macomer road, follow it up to Macomer.
- From Nuoro get onto the Strada Statale 131 d.c.n. towards Cagliari, then take the "Macomer-Sassari" exit and take the SS 129 Nuoro-Macomer road, follow the latter up to Macomer.
- From Tortolì take the State Road 198 of Seui and Lanusei, then, after 2 km, follow the signs for Nuoro and turn right onto the provincial road 27, arrived at Villagrande Strisaili, turn left always following the signs for Nuoro, then take the state road 389 Var Nuoro-Lanusei and follow it up to Nuoro. Once here, do not enter the city but take the State Road 131 d.c.n. towards Cagliari, then take the "Macomer-Sassari" exit and take the SS 129 Nuoro-Macomer road, follow the latter up to Macomer.
- From Lanusei take State Road 198 of Seui and Lanusei, then follow the signs for Nuoro and turn right onto State Road 389 of Buddusò and Correboi which after about 10 becomes State Road 389 var Nuoro-Lanusei, follow the latter up to Nuoro. Once here, do not enter the city but take the State Road 131 d.c.n. towards Cagliari, then take the "Macomer-Sassari" exit and take the SS 129 Nuoro-Macomer road, follow the latter up to Macomer.
From the port of Porto Torres (89.5 km from Macomer), or from Olbia- Isola Bianca (120 km from Macomer if you take the State Road 131 Carlo Felice towards Sassari and then take the State Road 729 Sassari-Olbia, 147 km instead if you take the State Road 129 Macomer-Nuoro and then take the State Road 131 dcn towards Olbia), from Golfo Aranci (139 km from Macomer if you take the State Road 131 Carlo Felice towards Sassari and then take the State Road 729 Sassari-Olbia, 166 km instead if you take the State Road 129 Macomer-Nuoro and then take the State Road 131 dcn in direction Olbia), from Cagliari (144 km from Macomer) and from Tortolì-Arbatax (129 km from Macomer).

The ARST railway yard
In Macomer there are two railway stations:
- 4 Macomer RFI station, Corso Umberto. Located along the Cagliari-Golfo Aranci railway, it allows you to reach Northern Sardinia (Torralba, Sassari, Chilivani, Olbia is Golfo Aranci) and South Sardinia (Oristano, Villasor, Cagliari).
- 5 Macomer Arst station, Corso Umberto. The Macomer Arst Station has two lines: Macomer-Nuoro and Macomer-Bosa (the latter tourist).
