By plane

From the following airports it is possible, thanks to several car rental companies present, to rent a car to reach Bortigali.

By car

  • Those coming from north-west Sardinia (Alghero, Porto Torres is Sassari) and from southern Sardinia (Cagliari, Carbonia, Iglesias, Oristano) must take the Strada Statale 131 Carlo Felice until the exit "Nuoro-Macomer", here take the SS 129 Trasversale Sarda towards Nuoro, then, at a roundabout, turn left for the town.
  • From Golfo Aranci, Olbia is Nuoro take the Strada Statale 131 d.c.n. towards Cagliari up to the "Macomer-Sassari" exit, from here take the SS 129 Trasversale Sarda towards Macomer, then, at a roundabout, turn right for the town.
  • From Tortolì take the State Road 198 of Seui and Lanusei, then, after 2 km, follow the signs for Nuoro and turn right onto the provincial road 27, arrived at Villagrande Strisaili, turn left always following the signs for Nuoro, then take the state road 389 Var Nuoro-Lanusei and follow it up to Nuoro. Once you arrive here, do not enter the city but take the SS 131 dcn directly, follow the latter towards Cagliari until the "Macomer-Sassari" exit, from here take the SS 129 Trasversale Sarda towards Macomer, then, when you reach a roundabout, turn right for the town.
  • From Lanusei take State Road 198 of Seui and Lanusei, then follow the signs for Nuoro and turn right onto State Road 389 of Buddusò and Correboi which after about 10 becomes State Road 389 var Nuoro-Lanusei, follow the latter up to Nuoro. Once you arrive here, do not enter the city but take the SS 131 dcn directly, follow the latter towards Cagliari until the "Macomer-Sassari" exit, from here take the SS 129 Trasversale Sarda towards Macomer, then, when you reach a roundabout, turn right for the town.

On boat

From the ports of Porto Torres, Olbia- Binaca Island e Golfo Aranci or from the ports of Tortolì-Arbatax is Cagliari.
