By plane
The nearest international airports are the Innsbruck Airport (Distance about 51 km, half an hour's drive) and north of Munich the Munich Airport (also "Franz Josef Strauss", distance approx. 214 km).
By train
The nearest train station is that Ötztalbahnhof (own municipality) near Ötz and six kilometers away in the Upper Inn Valley located. The station is stop for regional trains innsbruck. Continue by bus or taxi.
In the street
Ötz is located in the valley entrance of the Ötztal and on the Ötztalstraße (B186), which the Upper Inn Valley about the Ötztal and the Timmelsjoch (Winter closure) with the South TyroleanPasseier connects. The Ötztalstraße is the main street leading through the center of Ötz.
- Approach from the north through the Upper Inn Valley and the toll Inntal motorway A12, exit Ötztal and then about 5 kilometers further on the federal road B186 to Ötz.

- Parish Church of St. Georg and Nikolaus. Built in the late Gothic style at the beginning of the 14th century, modified in Baroque style from 1743 to 1745.
- 1 Tower Museum Oetz (Hans Jäger collection, Museum cafe), Schulweg 2, 6433 Oetz (in the town center). Tel.: 43 (0)5252 20063. The local history museum is housed in a residential tower from the 14th century and deals with the Ötztal. One focus of the collection is alpine landscape painting.Open: mid-December to the end of January; Mid-February to Easter; Mid-May to the end of October, Tues.-Sun. 2 p.m. - 6 p.m., open on public holidays.
