Oldenburger Land - Oldenburger Land

The Oldenburger Land (Altoldenburg) is in the northwest Lower Saxony, between Ostfriesland and Bremen. It covers the north of the former Free State of Oldenburg, i.e. the city and the district Oldenburg, Delmenhorst, the Ammerland and the Wesermarsch.

The closest airport is Bremen. From there it is 14 km to Delmenhorst, 50 km to Oldenburg, 65 km to Bad Zwischenahn, 70 km to Nordenham.

Intercity buses from Leipzig, Hanover and Emden stop every two hours in Oldenburg and Delmenhorst. The RE 1 from Bremen to Norddeich stops in Delmenhorst, Hude, Oldenburg, Bad Zwischenahn, Westerstede-Ocholt and Augustfehn. In addition, the Nordwestbahn lines Bremen – Delmenhorst – Hude – Nordenham, Bremen – Delmenhorst – Osnabrück and Osnabrück – Oldenburg – Wilhelmshaven run through the region.

The A 28 (Bremen – Oldenburg – Leer) and A 29 (Osnabrück – Oldenburg – Wilhelmshaven) motorways run through the Oldenburger Land.
