Geographical notes
The municipal territory of Piuro extends over two different valleys: to the south in the Val Bregaglia, among the municipalities of Chiavenna and of Chiavenna villa, where there are several inhabited centers on both sides of the valley, on the road that leads from Chiavenna to Maloja.

By plane
By car
State road 38a leads from Lecco at the northern end of Lake Como. Here the SS36 branches off towards Chiavenna, which divides you into the SS37 through the Spluga Pass and the SS36 through the Maloja Pass. Piuro can be reached quickly from the Lake Constance through the Switzerland up to Splügen and then via the Splugen Pass.
On the train
Railway station of Chiavenna, served as the end point of the route run only by regional trains, which branches off to Colico from the train from Lecco to Tirano.
