Southern Russia is a federal district of the Russia European.
To know
Southern Russia is a region of Russia, bordering the Central Russia and the Volga region to the north, the Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea to the east, theAzerbaijan and the Georgia to the south, the Black Sea and theUkraine West. Southern Russia boasts the most beautiful climate in the country, with warm Black Sea beach resorts, as well as Russia's most mountainous and exotic cultural destinations in the North Caucasus.

- Dombaj - Russia's major mountain resort, in the heart of the Teberdinsky Nature Reserve, is situated in the mountains higher than the Alps, with the best for Russia's alpine skiing and trekking, rock climbing and hot springs.
How to get
By plane
There are daily domestic flights from St.Pietroburgo and Moscow to major cities in the region, such as those listed above, as well as the bizarre airport in Mineralnye Vody.
On the train
Southern Russia served by rail through Voronezh, from Moscow. Most of such trains come through Rostov-on-Don and then to Krasnodar is Stavropol '. The train service also exists from Kharkiv in Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don.
