Senftenberg is a city located on the Black Elster in the Lusatian Lakeland in Brandenburg.

At the Senftenberger See

The Lusatian Lakeland recreation area was created east of the city as a result of the recultivation of disused open-cast mining holes. One of the many lakes is the one in front of the city Senftenberger See. It was laid out in 1973 and offers the following leisure activities:
