Slesin Canal - Slesiner Kanal

The Slesin Canal, named after the city Ślesin, also Warta-Gopło-Channel is an approx. 32 km long canal from the first half of the 20th century that connects the Warta with the Networks in the central Poland in the voivodeship Greater Poland connects via numerous lakes and locks. It is very popular with canoeists, sailors and other water sports enthusiasts. On the Bydgoszcz Canal there is also another connection between the networks Brda and Vistula.

Run

The canal flows through the Gnesen Lake District and is connected to the Networks, Warta and Or in the west as well as the Brda and Vistula in the East. The river network can be navigated with a houseboat. There are numerous locks to be passed. The canal is part of the waterway of the Great Greater Poland Loop.
