Stutzerbach is a health resort in Thuringian Forest.

background

The state-approved climatic health resort Stutzerbach lies at an altitude of 590 - 828m on the northeast slope of the central one Thuringian Forest in a beautiful low mountain range only about 3 km from the Rennsteig away. The Ilm is created here by the confluence of three source streams. Embedded in extensive forests and meadows, in a zone of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Thuringian Forest, you will experience unspoilt landscape, crystal-clear streams, rare plants and animals. Stutzerbach is shaped by the life and work of Goethe, his Glass tradition and his attachment to the teaching of Pastor Sebastian Kneipp. In Stutzerbach Kneipp cures have been carried out since 1932. With its holistic therapy concept, the classic Kneipp cure harmonizes body, mind and soul in a natural way. A Kneipp cure can compensate for physical and mental dysfunctions and awaken the spirits. The place has about 220 beds in hotels, guest houses, holiday homes and holiday apartments.

The state-approved climatic health resort Stutzerbach has been part of the city of Ilmenau since January 1st, 2019. The central location of the place guarantees easy arrival from all over Germany and is ideally suited for relaxing or short vacations.
