getting there
from Cambodia
- Bavet / Mộc Bài: This is the busiest transition between Cambodia and Vietnam. The buses between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City take advantage of this transition. Many bus companies in Cambodia have this route in their program and drive through to Ho Chi Minh City without changing buses. Private taxis depart from Phnom Penh's Market Chhbar Ampeou. Shared taxis are $ 5 and private taxis are $ 35.
- Trapeang Phlong / Xa Mat: The border crossing, which is little used by tourists, is located in the north of the province. The next bigger place in Cambodia is Kraek. There is also a guest house there. The Vietnamese visa is not issued at the border. A moped taxi is used for the 14 km between the Cambodian Kraek and the border.
