Events in addition to the games
It was planned to set up so-called fan miles in the larger cities in both countries. There the game could be watched together on the big screen by the people without a ticket. For Switzerland there was a map with all the venues, big screens and fan miles seach. However, especially in Austria, the offer was initially not accepted as hoped that the caterers partly gave up their stands prematurely in order to prevent a financial loss. In some cities, the stand rent has also been drastically reduced in some cases.
