The Brembana Valley is limited to the north by the chain of the Orobie Alps, it marks the northernmost border with the Seriana Valley, and Pizzo Tre Signori, which instead marks the border between the provinces of Bergamo, Sondrio and Lecco. The Seriana Valley marks the eastern border of the Brembana Valley, while the west is marked by the Imagna Valley. To the south, the Brembana Valley ends in the piedmont plain around Bergamo. The Brembo river continues to flow until it flows into the Adda river.
