Victoria - Victoria

Victoria, in Italian Victory, is the name of numerous toponyms throughout the world Commonwealth and, more generally, in those of the former British Empire, these toponyms are dedicated to Queen Victoria, who reigned on UK and on the Empire from 1837 to 1901.

The best known of the toponyms related to the queen is that of the State Australian of Victoria, but other famous places bear the name, including the Victoria Lake in Africa (in English Lake Victoria ), two mountains called Vittoria in New Zeland and the first British urban settlement in the colony of Hong Kong, Victoria City.
