background

In particular the town church, the castle ruins but also the layout of the core city with its ring road bear witness to this until today.

After a devastating city fire in the 17th century and the 30th Years' War set the city's development back for a long time, a tranquil upswing began in the nineteenth century with the railway connection, school and small industry operated from here. As part of the Mecklenburg Lake District with its countless lakes in dense forests, Wesenberg has been around since the 20th century. a fixed term as a very original Mecklenburg small town.
