Zbąszyń (German: Bentschen) is a city in the voivodeship Greater Poland on the Lubusz Lake District in Poland. The place is on the border with the historical region Neumark at the Obra as well as at the lake Błędno and is particularly known as a water sports center and for its historic old town.

The place is on the Eurocity route between Frankfurt (Oder) and Poznan however, the train does not stop in Zbąszyń, but in Zbąszynek (New Bentschen) a few kilometers west of the city. The Eurocity from Berlin direction Gdynia and Warsaw as well as the train from Berlin to Moscow stop there. If you want to take your bike with you, you also need a reservation for a bike parking space on these trains. The last part can be done with the regional train (or the bike you have brought with you).

  • Jezioro Błędno (Bentschener See). The lake is located in the southwest of the village and is part of the river Obra. There is a swimming beach and opportunities for sailing, boating, paddling and fishing.
