By plane
The closest airports to Bellano are Milan Malpensa, Bergamo Orio al Serio and Milan Linate airports. From these airports you can reach them by bus or train Milan or Lecco, and from there continue to Bellano.
By car
- From Milan: 80 km. Take the SS36 dello Spluga (superstrada) towards Sondrio. Exit at Bellano-Valsassina nord and follow the signs for Bellano.
- Alternatively, if you want to go from the panoramic road along Lake Como, from the highway after Lecco take the Abbadia Lariana exit (Lake SP72), continue passing Mandello, Olcio, Lierna, Fiumelatte and Varenna. Going straight on you arrive in Bellano.
- From Colico on Lake Como: 17 km. Take the SP72 which runs along the lake towards Lecco. Exit at Bellano-Valsassina nord.
- From Barzio in Valsassina: 25 km. Take the SP62; pass Cortenova and Taceno and go straight on to Bellano.
From Varenna you can browse on the Lake Como to reach different destinations: Abbadia Lariana, Argegno, Bellagio, Bellano, Careno, Cernobbio, Colico, Como, Gravedona, Comacina Island, Lecco, Mandello, Menaggio, Piona, Pognana, Torno and Tremezzo. The ferries between Varenna, Menaggio, Bellagio and Cadenabbia also allow the transport of cars and buses.

On the train
It is served by the Bellano railway station-Tartavalle Terme, which is located on the railway line of the line Lecco-Colico. Reachable from Milano Centrale station by direct trains to Tirano.

- Weighs vegia. The pesa vegia is a historical event that took place in Bellano on January 5, 1862. Later the prefect of Como ordered the mayors of the province to impose the metric system starting from January 1, 1862.
