According to official data from 2010, Bolivia had over 50 cities with a population of over 10,000. residents. The urban population constitutes 51.4% of the total population of Bolivia. However, there are several cities here that exceed half a million inhabitants. The largest city in the country is Santa Cruz, which, thanks to the dynamic demographic development in the 1990s, overtook the capital of the country, La Paz, and was the only city with over a million inhabitants; 3 cities with a population of 500 ÷ 1000 thousand; 6 cities with a population of 100,000 ÷ 500,000; 6 cities with a population of 50,000 ÷ 100,000; 7 cities with a population of 25,000 ÷ 50,000 and the rest of the cities below 25,000 residents.
