Harbin (simplified Chinese: 哈尔滨; traditional Chinese: 哈爾濱; pinyin: Hā'ěrbīn; Wade-Giles: Ha-erh-pin; Nga Харби́н Kharbin; Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation: Harbin) is a prefecture-level city. and the capital of Heilongjiang province in the northeast China. It is the political, economic and scientific center of northeast China and a major city in China and Northeast Asia. Harbin is nicknamed "the pearl on the swan's neck" because of the shape of the Hei River. Longjiang is like a swan, or "Eastern Moscow" or Eastern Paris" due to its architecture. Harbin is also called "ice city" because of the cold and long winters here. but the tapes are very developed here.

Introduce

Harbin is a large city in the north of China, with a population of more than 10 million, and more than 4 million in its inner city. Historically, the city has been greatly influenced by neighboring Russia, especially after the Russian Revolution of 1917, when white Russians, Russians, supporters of the Czarist state, escaped from the new Soviet Union established. The influence is still clearly visible in the construction style and food.

The city was founded in 1897 as a camp for Russian engineers surveying the Trans-Siberian Railway. Labor required the inclusion of a collection of outcasts from all over Russia, Poland and even from within Manchuria. The city was eventually captured by the Japanese during World War II and then taken by the Chinese in 1946. Once nothing more than a Russian-built outpost of railroads, Harbin has since been administered. to become a major city as well as the capital of Heilongjiang province. Northeast China was built up as an industrial center using pre-existing Soviet and Japanese factories. By 1980 these plants were obsolete and inefficient. Continuing to complicate matters, starting in the early 1990s, the majority of China's state-owned enterprise workers were laid off. Thus, like many other cities in this region, modern Harbin is grappling with an aging workforce and unemployment. Private enterprises are mainly concentrated in services, retail, restaurants, etc. with the largest scale enterprises still being state-owned. However, the whole province has thousands of state-owned enterprises for sale, and many have been purchased since the late 1990s. Many universities in Harbin also play an important role in the economy in education. and research and through their subsidiary.

In 2005 there was a large pollution spill on the Songhua River.

Climate

Harbin is very cold in winter, the climate is different from a city of the same latitude as Montreal, and winter temperatures as low as -38 °C (-36 °F) have been recorded, although during the month the average temperature is average. daytime average -12 °C (10 °F). Harbin can be a great place to visit during the summer, with daytime temperatures normally in the 20s above°C. Compared to most places in China, the weather is cool and it seems to be permanently cool, and most of the city's streets are planted with trees on both sides. Because the city is so cold during winter, life almost explodes and people crowd the streets late into the night eating kabobs, playing poker, and drinking Harbin beer (哈啤 Hapi). This is a great escape from the heat of Beijing. A trip to the border area this time of year would be nice as well.
