The Erixx trains run in Lower Saxony and compete with Deutsche Bahn. They are painted in a similar way to the features of the metronome.
history
The railway company was founded in 2010 to take part in the tender for the routes of the so-called Heidekreuz. Erixx GmbH is part of Netinera group a non-federally owned railway company (NE) based in Soltau. The company operates various railway lines in the Lueneburg Heath and from the end of 2014 also in the region Braunschweig and in resin.
fleet
Erixx operates 27 LINT 41 railcars and 28 LINT 54 railcars. They are all new and are being serviced by Metronom.
Route network and hubs
Erixx now operates a total of seven routes. The first two lines since 2011 together form the heather cross. It is the Heidebahn that from Hanover above Soltau to Buchholz in the north heath leads and the American line running from Bremen via Soltau Uelzen leads. Five more have been added since 2014.

The trains have first and second class compartments.
Booking options
Tickets for the Erixx can be obtained from the machine at any train station where it stops; at larger stations, tickets can also be purchased from the machines and in the DB-AG travel centers. You can also book tickets online.
Valid tickets
Tickets for the Lower Saxony tariff and for the HVV, GVH, VBN, VRB and VSN transport associations are valid on Erixx trains. The Erixx house train also corresponds to the tariff of the DB Regio, the metronome and other local railroad companies. These are just as valid on Erixx trains Lower Saxony ticket, the Lower Saxony ticket Groningen and the Across the country ticket as well as the BahnCard 100. Holders of Bahncards 25 and 50 also receive a 25% discount on single tickets for the Lower Saxony tariff.
