The small town Falkenberg (Elster) is in the south of the state Brandenburg. It is best known as a railway junction.
getting there
From 1 Falkenberg station there are direct rail connections from Berlin, Bitterfeld, Leipzig, cottbus, Dessau, Wittenberg, Hoyerswerda and Stralsund.
Falkenberg lies in a triangle made up of three federal highways:
- The B 87 runs northwest from Torgau to Herzberg.
- The B 101 runs north-east from Herzberg above Bad Liebenwerda to Elsterwerda.
- The B 183 runs south from Torgau to Bad Liebenwerda.
