The Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is the second largest airport in Sweden after Stockholm-Arlanda with around 5 million passengers (2013). There is also the smaller one Gothenburg City Airport, which is mainly served by low-cost airlines.

The airport is located 25 km east of Gothenburg and 40 km west of Borås. The airport was inaugurated in 1977.

The airport can be reached by public transport via bus or taxi.
By bus
The transport company Flygbussarna connects the airport with downtown Gothenburg in 20 minutes and the main train station in 30 minutes, departures every 15 to 20 minutes during peak times, the journey costs 105 SEK (as of 2016) if the ticket has been bought at the airport or on the bus, Tickets ordered online on the Internet cost less. Important: Only credit cards are accepted at ticket machines and on the bus, no cash.
