The Franconian Alb is a low mountain range in Bavariathat is crescent-shaped between Danube and Obermain extends. The Alb closes on that Nordlinger Ries in the Administrative region of Swabia and continues from there eastward. The Upper Palatinate Part of the Alb is called the Upper Palatinate Jura, the northernmost part that runs through Upper Franconia moves to the Main is Franconian Switzerland.

- The 1 Hesselberg - at Wassertrüdingen with 689.4 m is the highest point in Middle Franconia and the only mountain in Franconia that offers a view of the Alps

- The 2 Moritzberg is a prominent mountain (603 m above sea level) east of Nuremberg near Leinburg. The Moritzberghütte was built in 1419 as the brother house of the St. Mauritius Chapel, the farmhouse parlor and adjoining room now serve as an inn. The observation tower on the Moritzberg was built in 1913.
