Frielendorf is a community in North Hesse. It is idyllically located west of the mountains of the Knülls. Vacationers can relax in the Silbersee holiday park.

Closest international airport is Frankfurt am Main (approx. 130 km southwest).
By train
The next train station with long-distance traffic is in Schwalmstadt-Treysa approx. 13 km to the south-west. In addition to intercity trains on the Karlsruhe - Frankfurt - Hamburg line, the regional express trains on the Kassel - Frankfurt line also stop here.

- Silver lake - You can swim in the lake. There is a lawn for sunbathing and a small beach. There is also a holiday park on the lake. By the way, today's holiday park used to be an open-cast lignite mine.
- Silver Lake Bob - The 610 m long summer toboggan run with metal rails is located on the lake.
- Museum shop - The local history museum provides information about the history of the place as well as about the lignite mining.
- 1 Spike tower. The medieval watchtower is located near the road that leads from Spieskappel to Oberbegrenzebach (near the hiking car park). It was built to monitor the trade routes at that time. You are given the opportunity to go to Edeka, REWE or Penny. Especially since the Frielendorf shopping center is located at Penny. In addition to butcher Bornmann and baker Möller, there is also an Italian restaurant, a boutique and an amusement arcade. The main street offers something else.
