Kamienica is a mountain town in Poland in the voivodeship Lesser Poland. The place is south of Krakow between Island Beskids and the Gorce, both mountain ranges of the Beskydy Mountains. To the southwest of the village lies the Gorce National Parkthat you can hike from the place. The mountain river Kamienica Gorczańska flows through the village, which flows into the Dunajec flows out. The district Szczawa was a state-approved health resort.

The village was founded in 1330 by the Poor Clare Monastery Stary Sącz founded. From the higher elevations of the community you have a nice view of the Tatra Mountains.
