Lazio has access to the Mediterranean Sea and the region's most important port is Civittavechia. It is worth mentioning that in the territory of Lazio there is a microscopic enclave, which is a separate (Catholic) state - Vatican. The sea, beautiful lakes, vast areas of hills and the Apennine mountains are the Lazio region in a geographical nutshell.
