In the northwest it borders with Tuscany, in the north with Umbria, in the northeast with Marche, in the east with Abruzzo and Molise, and in the southeast with Campaign. Lazio has access to the Mediterranean Sea and the region's most important port is Civittavechia. It is worth mentioning that in the territory of Lazio there is a microscopic enclave, which is a separate (Catholic) state - Vatican. The sea, beautiful lakes, vast areas of hills and the Apennine mountains are the Lazio region in a geographical nutshell.
